Ms. Albarelli (Katie) is an experienced immigration attorney who has worked in the DC-Metropolitan Area, Baltimore, and in Philadelphia exclusively on immigration matters. Katie first joined the field teaching citizenship preparation classes in the U-Street Cardozo neighborhood of Washington, D.C. After graduating law school, she spent 9 years practicing immigration law with a Philadelphia and Allentown based firm specializing in general immigration practice. She spent most of her time handling complex removal defense, asylum and family-based matters, “crimmigration” law, humanitarian forms of relief including TPS, DACA, Deferred Action, and naturalization/citizenship, amongst many other areas of immigration law. Subsequently, Katie started her own law firm specializing in all forms of immigration law combined with criminal and family law. After founding her prior law firm, Attorney David joined her practice, and she is thrilled to now have him as a law partner. David adds his own unique flair to immigration practice and has expanded their practice areas to include general employment-based immigration practice as well.

Katie is bilingual English/Spanish. She has lived and studied in many countries; including but not limited to Ecuador, Mexico, Spain and Italy. Katie has also been involved in many grassroots and political efforts for immigration reform and continues to do so. She is a frequent speaker for local community groups in the Lehigh Valley, particularly Allentown.

Katie is admitted to practice in the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, the Court of Appeals of Maryland and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. She is a member of the Lehigh County Bar Association, the PA Bar Association, the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and the Philadelphia Chapter of AILA. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from American University with a B.A. in Spanish and Latin American Studies. Katie also completed her Juris Doctorate at American University – Washington College of Law.  Katie spent many years volunteering for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of the Lehigh Valley as a Big Sister, volunteered with the Bethlehem InterFaith Refugee Resettlement Group and is currently the Board President of the Lehigh Conference of Churches; an agency devoted to addressing systemic homelessness, food insecurity, mental health and addiction issues.
